The Role of Dogs in Education and Therapy

People with intellectual or physical diversity require a higher level of motivation to engage in an activity; the presence of a dog facilitates this interaction, allowing improvements in psychological aspects such as self-esteem and competence, verbal communication, the development of social skills, the reduction of maladaptive behaviors, and work on daily life activities or psychomotor skills.
